Recommended Treatment Goals and Review Guidelines for Transplant Facilities

Network 11 is proud to be a national leader in kidney transplantation.  In 2009, the USRDS reported that 1 in 9 patients receiving a kidney transplant resides in a state covered by ESRD Network 11.

Each year, the Medical Review Committee (MRC) reviews actual first-year kidney transplant outcomes as compiled by Network 11 and actuarial first year outcomes based on the data provided by the Scientific Registry of Transplant Recipients (SRTR).  Those facilities that demonstrated lower than expected graft or patient survival were reviewed by a team of experienced transplant professionals.  The purpose of this process is to assist transplant centers to identify areas of concern at an early stage.

The MRC and the Executive Committee reviewed and approved updated criteria for this process. These guidelines are to assist your center as you develop and update your quality improvement program and to keep you informed regarding the MRC center-specific review process.
